Mike Hartquist
VP-CIO
Mike Hartquist is Chief Information Officer of Heartland Crop Insurance (HCI).
Mike joined Heartland Crop Insurance in the fall of 2009 as the CIO. As CIO, Mike oversees the management and oversight of all technical Infrastructure, Software Development and Support, and Enterprise Architecture.
Prior to joining HCI, Mike spent over 19 years in technology leadership roles including Director of E-commerce, Technology Director, and Vice President of Consulting Solutions. He has deep agriculture roots including growing up on a farm in central Iowa and working in the Crop Insurance Industry over 10 years. He brings a vast knowledge of business processes design, technical architecture, project management, and systems development to the Heartland environment. |
| Mike’s education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Statistics as well as an MBA in Management Information Systems from Iowa State University. Additionally, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Mike and his wife Jill have two children and in his free time he enjoys watching his kids’ many activities, boating and playing golf. |
